Hi Michael,

I guess the largest glyph collection can be found with Helvetica World font family (from Linotype)

 <http://www.linotype.com/48344/helveticaworld-family.html>

But: East-Asian fonts come from a totally different background than our Western font families. It just makes no sense to include Han glyphs with any Western font. (Even the inclusion of Arabian and Hebrew glyphs is debatable, IMO, although it makes life easier for system administrators.) E.g. there is no tradition of using italic characters in those languages, so what should be in the italic font of such a family.

Better go looking for some well-designed Japanese fonts that look good next to Helvetica.
