we have procured work that will ultimatly result in our designing and 
replacing an existing site and moving everything onto our servers but the 
client wants us to take over the running of the existing site designed and 
hosted by another company, a content management site for a period of 
several months while we develop the new site. This is a large project 
however the existing site builders/hosts are not pleased as you can imagine 
and are reluctent to provide full access (ftp) to the client site.

Any advice?
