I use Opera, but I'm also one of the few who've been using it for a couple years. When I design web-sites/pages I always need to check what they look like in IE/Gecko *Mozilla/Firebird render the same thing so I'll just call it Gecko* as the site always looks exactly as I designed it in Opera. Opera is a very standards compliant browser unlike what Kurt Pattyn had said. Gecko still has some issues rendering CSS items (not sure if CSS1 or CSS2 standards here...?). IE does pretty well when you force it in Strict mode, but IE is the least standards compliant browser of the 3, and more workarounds have to be made to get the site to look right in IE than in the standards compliant Opera/Gecko. And Opera's new default interface in version 7.5 is really ugly. It is very easy to customize (especially if you've done it before) and make it look more user friendly, which is what they should have shipped it like. So yes there are still a few Opera users, but you won't really need to check how it looks in Opera if you comply with the W3C standards. Oh and btw, many Opera users "identify Opera as MS IE 6" because some sites out there will only allow IE/Mozilla as a browser, yet they function 'perfectly' when viewed in Opera. THC
