I know that Indesign CS can import text from MS word with styles. But is there anyway to do this from Text Edit, or from Open office writer.

Note: I'm a student in India, and had to take a loan just to purchase a eMac and Creative suite academic edition. I really can't afford to put out more money for MS office.
