I have received e-mail responses from those who received my recent e-mail
identified as "Illegal" and/or "Scam".  A number of messages were from very
understanding people who were kind enough to give a me correct information
about my recent postings of "ITWILLWORK".

I am new to computers and the internet and was "taken-in" as it were to
this "Chain Letter Scam".  I realize there is no excuse for ignorance of
the law but on the other hand the "Introduction Letter" to my immediate
response to such ... was very convincing to say the least.

For those of you who live in the south and other places where this kind of
thing is common place, I do understand your anger and dis-satisfaction with
my e-mail called "ITWILLWORK".  However that is not even a good excuse to
be derogatory or demeaning.  There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever, and
I refuse to accept your inappropriate expression of my behavior or
description of myself.

I am a human being first and foremost and deserve respect and understanding
just as you would expect.  The fact I was taken by said "scam", "chain
letter fraud" or whatever definition was applied to my e-mail "ITWILLWORK",
does not make me a "fool" or an "asshole" regardless of what or how you
live your lives.

All you need is the common decency and forethought to respond with
self-dignity and self-respect.  Not all people are out-and-out criminals
regardless of your short sightedness in maybe believing so.  And no one has
the right to call me whatever they feel just because they think its the
right thing to do.  Because the right thing to do is the right thing to do,
inspite of opinionated people who think they can control me and others with
outright stupidity and arrogance.  Maybe you are the big-shot where you
come from but that doesn't mean a thing to me one way or the other.

And regardless of what you may think of me, I am a good person who made a
mistake and I am one who learns from them, so cut the baloney and don't
take life so hard.  Your only being hard on yourself, for absolutely
nothing has ever been accomplished through violence or hate, no matter how
well designed and manufactured in the mind(s) of the hater(s).

I therefore am letting you know, I accept and understand your anger at my
mistake but never will I accept how you did it regardless of who you think
you are.

If I were a scam artist, as you claim then why did I give you my e-mail
address ??

If I were a scam artist, why did I respond to your letter of notification
of my illegal activity ??

If I were a scam artist, you wouldn't even know my name nor would have I
ever received your response ??

If I were a scam artist, I would have packed up this computer and be long
gone and changed my name ........ wouldn't I ??

In kind consideration of the aforementioned I, Charles Tizya  of Inuvik,
Northwest Territories do acknowledge that I committed inappropriate
action(s) on the internet in believing I was committing legal action(s) as
convinced of such by the original correspondence titled "Get out of Debt
NOW!!!!!" posted by James Brandt, e-mail address <vlalky@nbn.net> and,

after having received appropriate information from those in authority and
responsibility, I do also acknowledge their right to inform me as to my
illegal action(s) and,

shall cease and desist from any further action(s) as pertaining to said
"ITWILLWORK" as defined as a "Money Making Scheme", "Scam", "Rip-Off", and
any other description applied to said e-mail "ITWILLWORK" that has or will
be forwarded to my e-mail address.

I therefore shall for all intents and purposes forward this e-mail "To Whom
It May Concern" to all postings I have sent since I started, which was on
Saturday, February 1, 1997.

Again, as pertaining to the above, I do humbly apologize for my ignorance
and inappropriate behavior in relation to said "ITWILLWORK" e-mail.  Please
accept my apologies for I am truly sorry for what I have done. and,

any monies I shall undoubtedly receive in the mail will be returned, serial
numbers recorded, photos taken, and notification of the RCMP will be
emminent for discussion and action to resolve this matter to the
full-satisfaction of the law(s) that rightfully apply, for I believe in
obediance of the law, and all of the above shall be committed forthwith and
hereafter.

Records shall be kept for the perusal of anyone at anytime who has been
directly or indirectly affected by my thoughtless action. and,

I shall request of those rightful owners who sent me cash in the mail, for
written notification that their submitted funds were returned (One dollar
in US currency as described in "ITWILLWORK").

These documents shall then be made available to anyone who might request
them for their own satisfaction as to my cooperation with the law and to
this committment (in writing).

I express my sincere gratitude to all who informed me of my illegal action
whether done inappropriately or respectfully.  I accept the basic reason(s)
for it all and do acknowledge my responsibility as a law abiding citizen to
which local law enforcement can attest to.

Afterthought: The cost to myself for mailing-back inappropriately secured
monies is of no account.  I feel ... if I was willing to accept those funds
whether knowingly or unknowingly illegal then I can accept responsibility
for correcting my mistake for I am one who accepts responsibility for my
actions.
