Reply to each and every one with a form letter stating that you wish to be removed from the mailing list and that you find the practice of spam illegal and in bad taste. Also tell them that you would like the name and address or website of the company that sold your e-mail address to them because it is a private e-mail address for personal e-mails only. Don't forget to tell them you find their e-mail offensive, and don't forget to say that if they will not send you the name of the company that is supplying them with your e-mail address that you have used IP tracing and are prepared to take legal actions. Replies to these spams believe it or not are actually read 90% of the time. A letter like that usually scares the shit out of them and they are very apoligetic and very VERY kind, and will obey your requests as they are required to by law. Some spams though have fake return addresses for them all you have to do is trace the IP it came from and contact the owner of that IP and threatan them with legal action. If they know you are on to them and that you know who they are they will be shitting bricks. I have found that this all works extremely well I have seen a 75% easy reduction in spam. One more thing BE FORCEFUL in your replies, sound angry as hell feel free to swear a LITTLE, but do not call them names in your swearing as this usually causes the reply to be ignored maybe something like "take me the FUCK off your goddamn mailing list" That one works great and lets them know you are extremely pissed. Hope this helps. -- Fantacmet@ipns.com Fantacmet@yahoo.com Fantacmet.tripod.com/main If ignorance is bliss then why aren't more people happy?
