printing problem

I get the following problem when I'm trying to print a document logged in
as regular user (not root)

lpr: connect: Connection refused

jobs queued, but cannot start daemon

-----------------------------------

Then I have to print something as root to get the daemon started so the
printer prints the previous document.

I'm using Mandrake 7.1
