Hey jules, ld is the GNU Linker program and it's trying to link a module
called crtl.o. I'm not familiar with fortran (well maybe once or twice on
a BBC Micro!!) but it sounds like the linker has just come across a file
it can't find.

probably best doing this as root:

#find / -name "crtl*" -print

if it comes back with the file you're after, but, for example, the file
is not in your path, you could make a symbolic link eg if file was in
/usr/sbin/mods (just an example) and wasnt in your path, you could issue
the following as a quick and dirty work around:

#ln -s /usr/sbin/mods/crtl.o /bin/crtl.o

Obviously you don't have to put it into bin, you could slap it wherever
you like in the path.

Finally. The file MAY already exist in your path, it might just be that
you don't have access privs to the file. Try finding the file and doing
an ls -l on that file to see if you have sufficient access privs.

Best Of Luck,

Al.
