I am trying to install loinux rh 6.2 on my system and to dual boot with
windows98. I am putting Linux on my second unpartioned hard drive thats set
up as my slave, i figured i should put linux on that since it is only 3.5
gigs. Disk Druid is not setting up a swap partion on this drive (hdb), even
though I have been told it does it automaticly. I dont know how to mount a
64 meg swap partion. When I use fdisk in the Linux Installer i get this
error when i select HDB:

"    The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 6588. There is nothing
wrong with that, but this is larger then 1024, and could in certain setups
cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g LILO)
2) booting and partioning software from other OSs"

I am going to be dual booting win98, that is installed on HDA, which i have
setup as my primary hdd (its a 10 gig if you need to know), and I want to
install linux on my 3.5, which is what I have setup as the slave. I dont
think my CD burner and CD ROM are causeing problems.  I made sure to blow
away my second hard drive in the MS-DOS fdisk. I really dont know what I am
doing wrong, cuase I can install a partionless Linux, but I really dont want
to, i cant get past disk druid cause i dont have a swap partion setup, and
the fdisk doesnt work for me. Should i switch my hdds and make my 3.5 gig
the primary hdd and my 10 gig hdd my slave? Any advice would be great, man
do i hate being a newbie at time. I swear I am not as stupid as this post
sounds, and i am not going to give up cuase i want to get away from windows,
real bad. Thanks in advance
