The only way to fix this message is to install a smaller <=520meg hard disk. Best bet is to put kernel on partition below this size limit and ignore message. Heck I have my linux kernel on second scsi card second disk drive, which is first scsi card second disk from bios point of view, get all sorts of this isn't kosure garbage when I run lilo. It means nothing, boots fine once I removed all traces of redhat from system Robert On 11 May 2000 17:02:21 GMT, imtiaz.zainul@ualberta.ca (tim) wrote: >I am trying to install Caldera 1.3 .When i get to the stage where it says >Linux boot manager installation i get a message saying that device 0X0306 >exceeds 1024 cylinder limit. > >Please advise how I can fix this > > >Thanks > >imty
