I would seriously consider using an INVISIBLE software proxy (one for $50 at
www.winproxy.com) and using specific IP's across the network I.E. Use
192.168.1.? (? being 1 - 254) each using its own ip. Wingate and other
proxys will not allow games like halflife or quake to run without major
messing around with the proxy. It involves unlocking udp ports (whichever
ones IRC uses and your other software)and setting up socks 4 and 5
proxys.... its worth the $50 just to avoid the headache. IRC and ICQ are a
pain to configure with proxys or gateways for that matter. Let the software
do the work.
