does anyone have any tips on getting the promise controller to work with
linux. i used the install image that promise supplied but that allways
locked up. with the regular image it goes to the install part but does not
detect any harddrives. also note that i have 3 harddrives hooked on the
promise controller and 2 cd(cr-rom-cd-rw) on the motherboard ide controller.
do i have to hook a hard drive to the onboard controller? if i do that i
cant boot from my promise controller. could i temperally hook it up, then
install redhat then switch back and use a dual boot manger?
