Hi, I am having a problem installing linux on my machine. I have a BackPack CD Rom drive connected to my laptop via the parallel port at the back of my machine. When I get to the stage of the installation where I specify that I am using a CDROM drive to make the installation, It presents a list of types of CD ROM drives to use. I select 'BackPack' It then goes to the Module Options and you can select 'AutoProbe' or 'Specify Options' when i select autoprobe it comes back with the message "I cant find the device Anywhere on the system" Does anybody know what to enter in the Specify Options window. I've tried typing LPT1 and other stuff but it still cant detect the CDROM drive. Do I need to have LINUX Backpack drivers installed on my harddrive ??? Mail me at silverwolf@ireland.com much appreciated.
