Although the code of windows is rather large Linux code is very different and will never be as resource hogging as windows will. Its code is based on an entirely different and much more efficient system than windows. Although Linux will be approximately 20 percent larger with each version released with the current to date technology will run Linux as easily then, in the near future, as it runs on a 100 mhz machine now. Linux will always have its distinct advantages to windows. The graphical interface now is eqivalent to that of windows 95 and 98 in some cases i have seen. IT RUNS 10 THOUSAND TIMES BETTER!!!! Rob i think that u need to understand the Linux code frst before u make any harsh Judgments. The concept of linux is much better and it will prevail. No offense:)
