I use an ABIT BE6 motherboard and a UDMA66 Harddrive connected to the UDMA66 IDE bus and cannot get Redhat or SuSe Linux to detect the harddisk unless I connect it to the ordinary IDE ports. I don't want to use this option because I have a DVD rom and a CD Rewriter which I wish to keep on their own ports with no sharing. Has anyone found a way to overcome this problem Any help would be appreciated Chris Reid
