Just got a linux box up and running for the new year. came loaded with
the specific software that we use it for.
i have zero linux experience, and we are having trouble getting it to
print.

at boot up, it does its little checks, and auto loads the software we
use via what looks like a dos emulator.
so i have to ctrl+ break to view anything other than the program.
trouble is, i don't think that unloads the dos emulator, because i
still have all the features of dos .
i found a directory with the driver files for our printer, tried
adding them in the proper places under dos, no luck.

i looked on the web for magic, and something called ap (ab?) on
someone elses advice. fine. good. but they won't run on the dos emu.

at least, someone tell me how the hell do i shut it down?

next best,, someone tell me a command line or something i can stick in
a file somewhere that will make it recognize our okidata 320 microline
tubo

very best, come do it for me ?

thanks for your replies
