Hi,
i have SuSE 8.1 and i have purchased a PCMCIA Notebook Network Card from
bilkin (F5D5020)... the box doesnt mention linux compatability (but does
claim to be windows compatable) once i'd put the cd in it told me i could
use it in linux with the addition of a simple line of text that SuSE already
contained... bonus right?? wrong... it doesnt seem to know the cards
connected :(

The problem is i have a Cable modem that requires an ethernet card to play
middle man, and this card wont do it (i blame the card - it doesnt seem to
work in windows either). obviously i want to replace the card but want one
that i know will work.... does anyone know of a PCMCIA ethernet card that
SuSE 8.1 likes??

while i'm on the subject- at somepoint soon i wanna replace my laptop with a
pc... i want to have the pc as a single boot linux system, so want to make
sure i can get online before i buy... so does anyone know of a PC Ethernet
card that SuSE 8.1 likes? and does anyone know the best way to link my
laptop and soon to be pc together to share processing power, and ram??

thanks for any help,

Iain
