Hi, guys, I am trying to connect to the internet from my Linux machine. I have a Pacific Bell DSL connection. I tried 2 different ways. The first way is to use my windows NT workstation as the gateway by configuring the Linux gateway address = windows NT workstation IP address. I then configure a new IP address and broadcasting address for the Linux machine. It didn't work. The 2nd way is to get rid of my windows NT workstation. Linux machine connects to the internet directly. I configure the IP address, the gateway address and the broadcasting address. It still didn't work. Do you have any suggestions on how to connect the Linux to the internet? thanks david (dshen71@hotmail.com) Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
