Cannot boot the system from either the 10g hd nor the A: drive to
linux. The system is *not* a multiboot.

I removed the scsi card--still no luck.

The pc thinks the drive is 8gig. The f'ing pc is a compaq. The bios on
compaq's are ON THE HARD DRIVE! Since my old hd crashed, I can't access
the bios! Argh!

Furthermore, figuring out what type of "deskpro" this system is, is
IMPOSSIBLE. The compaq site has over four dozen different deskpro's. I
don't know if this is considered a business model, a personal model, a
professional model... who knows. And I need that info to get the rompaq
to reinstall the bios on the new hd.

HELP!

-Ed.
