"Linux" Where do I Start????????

I want to install Lenux my self, on a old 100mhz with 48 ram and a 3gb
WD HD that has no OS!
I have never done a install of any OS!!!
I have about 6 years of playing with PC's, 2 Classes in NT and 1 Class
in DOS. 
So with out getting over my head where Do I start? What do I need to
know and where can I find the info?
PLEASE HELP!!
