hi jack, ;you can find what your looking for off the links at this url :) http://www.redhat.com/corp/support/manuals/ Jack <jackh@tcfi.com> wrote in message news:s23kcr624289@corp.supernews.com... I am new to Linux. Actually I haven't even seen Linux, but decided I needed to find out what Linux is. So I purchased the Redhat version from their site. I bought the slimmed down version. Hindsight dictates(isn't hindsight wonderful) that I should have paid for the full version. Instead I purchased the skinny version w/out documentation or instructions. I realize the error of my ways now...... So I have the cd's and nothing to lead me to an install process. I see from newsgroup traffic I need a boot disk, but do I also need to format the h/d? It has win95 on it. I have a pc I can dedicate to Linux. What steps do I have to take? Can a boot disk be sent to me by e-mail attachment? Could someone assist me with a cookbook method of getting this software installed. Or suggest a good FAQ to reference? Thanks in advance for your assistance....Jack Hefner
