Advanced Linux Networking Routing Settings! In Linux 2.x , the kernel support advanced networking routing. There are many sophisticated packet classifier/scheduler which are all located in /usr/src/linux/net/sched. These classifiers/schedulers should be controlled by a program called tc (traffic controller) which is in a iproute2.tar.gz package. I hava a question , will tc cooperate with conventional route programs , such as /sbin/route , ip_masq , ip_chain ? for example , there are three machines , say A,B and C machine B is a router which has two ethernet cards on it B.eth0 is connected to machine A ; B.eth1 is connected to machine C . We use /sbin/route to connect A and C in machine B so that A and C can connect directly (telnet/ftp/http...) In such a environment , how will TC cooperate with /sbin/route ? When we use TC , do we still have to use /sbin/route ? Will they conflict with each other ? Who has ever used TC ? Can somebody reply me ? Thanks in advance.
