I am new to linux too and I have WinLinux 2000 that is very easy to setup and
use, I also have PhatLinux which is basically the same (WinLinux is based on
Slackware and PhatLinux is based on Red Hat) I also have Red Hat... The thing
with WinLinux 2000 is that it can be installed and booted from Windows and
installs on a FAT partition instead of a Unix-Linux partition so you will not
have to partition your hard-drive and you can use windows explorer to look
around and see where everything is... Winlinux also comes with KDE that is
very close to Windows look and feel... you can also boot it from DOS... plus
if you want to use any of your windows programs you can download WINE and have
a better chance or success than from a Unix-Linux partition... You can
download WinLinux from www.download.com (mabe it is http://download.cnet.com),
by going this route you can play with it and see if it is for you without
putting a partition on your disk...

good luck!
