Hi - I am a newbie to linux but want to learn it. So I downloaded
WinLinux2000 and installed it. Starts up fine other than getting a
bunch of crap about my ram. Starts up automatically into kde desktop.
Is there a way to start it up to a root command prompt instead of kde?

I have a 3com 3c905 nic card and got a driver for it but i have no
idea how to get it to someplace where linux can see it so i can
install it. Anyone know how? Remember I am a newbie at this stuff. I
did load slackware a couple of years ago on a machine and got my nic
to work with it but winlinux seems very confusing for some reason. I
also have drivers for my riva 128 video card but can't find them
either. Please help

Dave
