Hi All Newbie Question Here On X86 I did have Caldera 2.2 setup, using boot majic with windows 95, using KDE desktop. Wanted to try different brand of Linux. I have just setup Redhat 5.2 on a dual boot with Win 95 using the LILO boot. That works fine but now I need to set X86 interface so it starts after the Linux bootup and I don't have to keep starting it manually, thats a pain it butt. The manual says to use a text editor to change to a run level 5 from 3, I can find where to change this. Only problem is I can't find a text editor to do this. I have looked through 3 books I have on Linux and they have been of no help. Can anyone tell me the command I need to use to get a text editor. Are the commands in Redhat different then other Linux versions?? Heres a second question I just thought of. Windows Is easy. Also found DOS easy to use, Linux seems more complex. Will Linux get easier to use when I get use to it or are you always fighting to get something to work? Linux does look interesting amd if it is as stable as I have read would be a nice change from the computer always locking up all of a sudden like it does under Windows. Thanks for any help Terry Dixon
