I am trying to install Red Hat Linux 6.1 on my Dell PC which has a 6G
hard disk. The first 3G is reserved for Windows NT and the last 3G is
for Linux.

For the first installation (using GNome Workstation's default
partitioning), it was completed successfully in 10 minutes. I then can
boot in LILO and start XWindow.

As a beginner, I wanted to play more with it and to manually
repartition the drive. Here is what I have done:

1. Boot up in Windows NT (by typing "dos" in LILO)
2. Use NT's Disk Administrator to remove the Linux partition
3. Reboot using a floppy and run "fdisk /mbr" to clear the master boot
record
4. Reboot with the Red Hat CDROM for Linux re-installation

But now the installation always "kills" itself immediately after all
options have been chosen (such as type of installation...). The error
message is "Error Opening secutiry policy
file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/Xserver/SevurityPolicy".

I checked the CDRom and that file does not exists. I am guessing
somehow the installation remembers an old Linux copy installed on the
hd (which was erased after I removed the partition) and tries to read
files from it.

Could any one provide some recommendation as for how to get the
installation going? I have tried many ways and am currently stuck.
