KDE Install, HOW?? RH6.0 RPM

I am brandy new to Linux and I'm having a difficult time intalling any
software.  I've downloaded all kinds of stuff and I can not get
anything to install.  It must be my ignornance!!

I purchased Redhat 6.0 and it came with a second applications CD. I
though this would be easier with RPM from RH.

On the CD is KDE (among other things).  How do I install stuff off of
the CD?  I tried    rpm -i     in a terminal but it "can not open the
.rpm file".  

I'm interested in installing KDE and Staroffice.

ANY HELP PLEEEEAASSE!!!
