i've only been screwing around with it for 3 days now and i say jump into it
and get rid of that hunk of crap microsoft machine as soon as possible.  i
was afraid and put off the install for 3 months and i learned more in the
past 3 days of actually doing it than i ever did sitting around debating on
wether i was ready to try it or not.  of course, i'm stuck and x freezes my
system, but that's beside the point.  ;)

if you're looking for a high end graphics game machine, i would wait until
they have better support for video cards.
