Hi, I have installed Caldera Linux 2.2 at least 30-40 some odd times now from a CD I purchased from linuxmall, and everything seems to work okay at first. After the initial installation, Caldera loads just fine and goes to the KDE desktop. However when I logout and reboot my system it won't boot back up into Linux. My system has 2 separate hard drives, a primary master running windows98 and the secondary I was going to use for installing and running Linux for a dual boot. The only way so far that I can use Caldera each time is to install it eachand every time from the installation disk and CD. Once I restart my system however, just like clockwork, it boots back up into Windows98, and I just can't figure out how to boot back into Linux to save my life. I've tried copying loadlin.exe and linux.bat over to my primary C: drive and executing in hopes of booting into linux. I have looked through books, gone to numerous Linux sites, along with Caldera's site, searching for a solution but can't find anything related to my problem. I've even tried removing my hard drive with windows98, installing Caldera on my second drive, which I made primary, but each time I install , then reboot, instead of starting up in Caldera Linux, I get just a flashing cursor. I was under the impression that Lilo was automatically installed along with Caldera Linux & should appear on the display giving you and option to choose between OS's to load, but no such luck with me. I have read everything I can get my hands on, tried all the function, shift Ctrl keys, thinking maybe it would bring up some kind of boot manager like Lilo. I noticed the CD didn't include Partition & Boot Magic, but didn't think that should present any problem. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever experienced this problem before. If so, could anybody out there please, please help me. It is really getting frustrating having to reinstall each time in order to use Caldera for just one session. Any possible help with this confusing problem I'm having would be most very greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Wiley Black wsblack@tyler.net
