linux redhat 6 will not boot

when i run the boot disk supplied with redhat 6...

it loads the image file ok .................

then when it starts to load the vmlinuz file it gives an error......

boot failed?

i have win98 on hda1 and have mandrake 6 on hda 3..

i have tried to remove partitions and nothing works.....

anyone got any suggestions..............
