I am looking for some assistance on tweaking a Linux (redhat 7.3 & 8)
client for better performance. I have a W2K box that connects to my
Direcway (2-way) dish. Over the past couple days, I have done some
speed tests (www.pcpitstop.com) on both machines and I am seeing
1500ish Kb/s on my W2K, and 500ish Kb/s on my Redhat box.

I have my Redhat box tweaked as outlined in:
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/satellite/all#4554, plus I have tried
many different variations of these settings. Nothing seems to change
the download speed on my Linux box.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris
