1023 problem

Hello world Can someone please help with the 1023 cylinder problem ??? I
havetried to install Linux on a new PC after refusing to accept ms windoze98
terms but it hangs at LI on booting from the hard drive. This is because of
where the kernal is placed I think but I don't know enough about this to
move it. I'm using RedHat because it seems to be the most readily available
here in Australia.

It's annoying having to boot from the floppy each time. I did try to install
Linux on a partition - primary 1 - with a size ending at cylinder 1023 but
then it wouldn't fit.

Thanks for any help
