Hi, I am a new Linux user who is looking forward to jumping into the
wonderful world of linux. Before I can start to experience the wonders
of this operating systems I will need some help configuring my
Xwindows. I have SuSE Linux 6.1. I am installing it on an emachine
computer. My video card is a ATI 3D Rage IIc AGP with 4 Megs memory. I
using an old Packard Bell monitor model #1402S. The horizontal
Frequency is 31.5Hz/ 32.5Hz /35.5Hz. The Vertical is 50 Hz to 90 Hz
continuous. The manual for the monitor says that it will automatically
adapt to the vertical and horizontal frequencies of VGA< SVGA< 8514/a,
XGA and compatible graphic adapters. When the system was in its Win98
operating system, its states that the Horizontal Frequency is 37.79 and
the vertical frequency is 60 HZ non-interlaced. When I run sax to
configure the X , I get very unstable and shaky picture. When i attempt
to run Kde or other graphic app I cant an error that says cant open
display. I DESPERATELY need some help to get this problem fixed. ALL
suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
impatient user
