Helo Every one, I am new to the linux OS, I have the slackware 3.6 dist
from walnut creek.
I know how to use rawrite to make a boot flopy and I know to use the
sbpcd.I image to make it whith. Also I know I'll use the text.gz root
disk.
What I need help whith is getting this slackware instalation to talk, you
see I am totally blind.
I have a sound blaster 16 bit sound card, also I have an accent PC
internal speech synthasiser.
Eather one of these can be made to talk in linux.
What I need is for some one to compile a kernel whith patches found at
www.leb.net for me and make a boot disk for me.
I can't do this whith out speech, and I don't know how to compile a linux
kernell in dos.
The kernell the version of slackware I have is:
  2.0.35 also I have ver: 2.1.125...
The cdrom drive I have is listed in device manager (w95) as a
  cr-563...
Can some one help me out?
  Thanks for listening!
  Pete
