What should I say, everything works fine. I installed the whole thing via the Network all you have to do is get a SuSE Bootdisk for example from the SuSE ftp server at ftp.suse.com/pub/SuSE-Linux/6.1/disks Make a bootable floppy of it with dd image /dev/fd0 on a machine runnig linux already and then start the installation. I used NFS via the Network but I think in the new 6.1 Version of Linux you can also install it via the Internet (ftp) Try it and you will find out! Another way is to partition the Harddrive into a huge empty partition (for Linux) and a small (max 600 MB) for Linux installation files. Then you have to put all rpm Packages you need onto this partition. Get a bootable disk and partition the HDD and format it. After this you can start adding the rpms with rpm -i --hash.
