I'm trying to use RedHat 5.2 and a 100mbit card here. Here's the story..I got myself 2 Hawking Technologies 10/100 auto switching PCI NICs, and a HT 10/100 auto hub too. The card works wonderfullly under linux if it's 10mbit, on my 10mbit hub...But when I switch over to my 100mbit hub, Linux screams and the ethernet connection dies... The driver I use came with the NIC, so I know it's the correct one... I remember hearing something like you have to compile the kernel to use 100mbit instead of just 10mbit. When I did recompile, I didn't notice anything of that nature...Has anyone had this problem, or know a solution to it? If ya have an idea could you respond back with an email (Remove the X's from the address) since I cannot check all the newsgroups everyday...TIA..
