You need to create a file using whatever text editor you prefer.  Call the
file resolv.conf .

In that file you need to place
domain                 your.domain.net
nameserver        xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
nameserver        xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

where the x's are the primary and secondary DNS numbers.
