Need help about Red Hat 5.0 !

Hi hope you can help me !!

Now in my computer i got Windows95 and Red Hat 5.0.
The probleme is that my linux works well, but when it comes 
the time to get in my  X WINDOWS i see a normal x windows
but i can't move my mouse "the x stick there".

I tried "x configurator" but my mouse still can't move.
I got "LILO" for the boot sequence, and i got "plug and play".
Well i eared that Red Hat isnt very compatible with "plug and play".
Someone told me to use "Loadlin" to boot directly from "Dos".
Well i dont know what to do and how i can fix this probleme,
please help me if u know how to fix it.
