I have set up a samba box on my NT network but whenever the samba box makes a request for authentication to the Primary Domain controller the PDC acknowledges the username but rejects the password. When I use NT administration tools on the samba server I get the message "The network request is not supported". In smb.conf I have added the line encrypt passwords = yes security = server password server = NTPDC What am I doing wrong? Someone said something to me about using a .reg file that came with Samba. dmolloy@eno.org
