Hi all, Newby to Linux so here is my concern. I downloaded 485 mb from ftp.is.co.za. (ISDN Rules!) Now I've got the redhat 5.2 dir, the dosutils, rpms, fips and some others... I copied the files in their dir structure to a spare hdd from my win95 pc. This hdd I put into my linux box, did the fips thing and all that but when installing form disk I point to the 500md hdd Linux said "no installation tree found. Where is the RedHat\rpms directory?" Has the file names been changed to filnam~1.ext ?? I even tried for a cd that I had cut for the installation but this brings up the same error. Is this because of fat? or dos partition. I do not have a install cd and all the howto I have read assumes that I have got one. No-one seems to think that someone is mad enough to download it all. Thanks
