I have asked this before but apparently I lost the return email.

I would like to be able to use ftp (on a second linuxbox) through a
linuxbox enabled with ipmasquerading (linuxbox 1)

I can already...but only to a limited extent. I can for example
anonymously ftp with a second linux box to an "outside" source.
BUt when I need to use my username and password the outside server
gives me "illegal port range" errors. These errors do not occur when I
use the IPmasq box (box1).

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Peter
