How to configure Xfree 86 for a Gateway Solo 9100 Notebook????

Dear All,


Has anyone configured the X display for a Gateway Solo 9100 with
- Chips&Technology 65554

I have tried both xf86config ( Which does not quite work!) I get a
display and my mouse pointer seems to be about an inch off x and y
location.  !!!

I also tried the XF86Setup program which gave me the following error!

_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111



Please guide me if you have configured a notebook or you are a linux
guru!
