Whenever I try to boot Linux with a kernel other than the original Slackware 3.5 boot kernel, my system freezes after mounting /proc file system while booting. Also, the error message appears: Divide by 0 I compile the Kernels with the new gcc-egcs compiler is this a problem? Also, my original boot kernel is a vmlinuz, and I alway compile bzImage or zImage, does this make any difference? I'm using a Celeron 300A, does this make any difference?
