If the modem is internal all you do is goto Control Panel (under superuser account) click on modem (which creates a symbolic link from /dev/modem to cua0 (or (cua1,2,3) and then run Network Configuration and enter the host names for your ISP under Names ... AND under Interfaces you add a PPP interface with the phone number (*70, = before the actual phone num to disable call waiting) and enter your username and password). Then click SAVE and highlight the interface and select ACTIVATE. BTWay, this dialup interface will not work with Windows NT RAS servers. -- Andrew Otwell, B.B.A. Network Computerz Perl, CGI, RAID, SCSI, A+ ato@networkcomputerz.com --------------35522FAA3B626015F4D3B238 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en"> <html> Erik Strandberg wrote: <blockquote TYPE=CITE>I have just installed Linux on my computer and I have 2 questions <p>1: I have 2 partions on my Hd (W95 partion (fat) and linux partion <br>(linux filesystem)).
