There are many levels of dial-in service you can provide. The simplest would
be to start an mgetty process listening to your serial line by adding a line
similar to the following to your /etc/inittab file.

# Dialup lines
d1:12345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/mgetty ttyS0
#d2:12345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/mgetty ttyS1

Note that you must compile and install the mgetty software.

If you wish to support a pool of modems by installing a special multiport
serial card, you will have to add the required device links in /dev and
modify you /etc/rc.d/rc.serial file, but instructions should be available
from the serial card manufacturer.

If you wish to support calls from the Win95 dialer, you should carefully
compile mgetty to support AutoPPP and modify the mgetty config files.
This is another example of Microsoft refusing to follow the simple and
established methodology. I don't know if Microsoft violated the PAP and PPP
protocols, but they appear to have bent them.

Lastly, you can install tools like ACUA or clobberd to administer time
limitations and tracking on the dial-in lines.

These comments are only intended to give an overview of your options.
Please write if you need more detailed information.
