First off, what are some good sites for a Linux newbie? I really dont know that much about it yet. Now for my problem: i recently got a new pc, with windows 3.1 on it. i re-formated the drive, and installed Linux. After installation, Linux rebooted my system. I rebooted, and as Linux was loading, i heard an odd beep, and get a virus alert screen. the screen says i have a boot virus Now this is a fresh hard drive, nothing on it. The only disks i have stuck into the computer after formating are the Linux boot disk, and installitation CD-Rom. I find it hard to beleieve i have a virus when i have done nothing to my system except for install Linux. Are there any gerecit solutions to this problem or anything? Anyone have any idea what is happening? Thanks for your help in advance! bjanssen@onramp(nospam!!).net
