Hi,
I have recently installed RedHat Linux 4.0 and I am having problems.
The first problem is with my modem. I am using an Euroviva 33.6bps modem
which is internal on com port 1. Now, when i try to run minicom, it says
that it can`t find /dev/modem. After investigation that driver doesn`t
exist. I went to check if I could change the driver and I can. But I don`t
know what to change it to. I got this version of a magizine disk "Personal
computer world" of May `97. I have had it since that issue but have only
recently decided to install it.
But I have another problem. This problem is with X-Windows. I have
configured the monitor using XConfiurator and X86Setup (I think that`s what
it`s called). But, when I run X, I get a monitor output split into five,
all doing the same thing. I can`t get rid of this. I want if to look
noraml. I want to show off to all those Microsoft addicts (I used to be
one). Please help.
Kevin Cunningham, Belfast.
