I am having a problem with my new Linux installation. It seems that when
I turn on my PC and start up linux, it automatically starts up into X and
prompts me for my name/password. I log in as root, and the screen goes blank
like it is TRYING to switch video modes, then goes right back to the login
screen. So i pressed CTRL+ALT+F1 and started a normal, non-graphical login.
This worked FINE. So after that I ran XF86Setup and made sure my video card,
monitor, and mouse where all installed proberly and then tried again. Still
no go : ( Any idea why this is happening? If you have an idea please email
me at breich@sunlink.net.

Thanks for the help,
    Brian Reich

PS : If it helps, I installed the TurboLinux distribution
