Can anybody help me with a problem that I am having? I have a NEC C550
Super VGA color monitor and a S3 viRge GX graphics card.  I am running
Redhat 5.0 (sort of). Several problems have occured since the first initial
problem.

	The first problem I had was that I selected a monitor type that was
closest to the model of my monitor.  I got a split screen to where I could
see the entire desktop (in X) but I saw two of them. A split screen effect
if you will.  I played around with different monitor types and finnaly, the
second problem occured.  I have a 15" monitor, and now, my computer likes
to "think that it is a 17" monitor".. so, in other words things look bigger
on my screen, and it does not all completly fit on my screen, even in my
BIOS when the computer is first turned on.  
	I have installed a patch for my S3 viRge card, so now I have colors, but I
believe that there is probably a problem with the card.. meaning I might
have gotten the wrong patch.  Either that, or there is something that I am
missing, a driver or something, that does not configure my monitor
correctly.  Until I can get this worked out, I have to continue using
Windows to do most everything (YUCK!)
