I am attempting to use a linux box to act as a router to my isp via a ppp connection. here are the details my subnet is 207.3.226.200 with a mask of 255.255.255.248 my ethernet card in this box will be 207.3.226.201 my ppp connection is fixed at 207.3.226.199 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0 but when I connect I seem to get a netmask of 255.255.255.248. How can I override this? My isp has it correct on his end but my linux box seems to not take the correct info. as i am very new to this I am unable to set the routing table properly on my end and do not know what to have my isp do. Can anyone assist me? Am I on the right track? rbromee@fundungeon.com
